How I Got My First Job In Acting At Thirteen Years Old!

Hi everyone! I hope that you are having a great day!

I've always liked acting.

I remember making little presentations on the playground when I was younger

I would also do this thing with my brother where he pretended that he had a control remote and I would pretend to be the channels. So I would pretend that I was in a movie or tv show.

When I was about nine I started to get more and more into acting and eventually got my first job!

And in this post, I will share how to get your first acting job, even if you are a teen!

I heard about the audition from one of my acting teachers.

I used to have acting classes with three teachers and I guess that's my first tip.

Not exactly have three teachers, but know people who know about auditions and can recommend you to directors.

If I didn't know that theater I would never have been able to get that job

So make sure that you know people who work in acting and that they know that you are interested in working in the field.

And go to every audition you can!

For this audition specifically, I was a bit younger than they wanted, but I didn't give up. I asked my teacher if he could talk to the directors and in the end, I was able to audition!

Obviously don't push it, but try your hardest to audition.

Another tip is to nice to EVERYONE at the audition.

I probably wasn't the best girl at the audition, but I was trying to be super nice.

Talk to people that are there, help them, just make that you are social and polite.

When entering the room where the audition actually happens smile and say hi.

They are looking for a good performer, but also a good person to work with.

So make sure you look professional but polite and happy to be there.

And my last tip is to pretend to know what you are doing.

Before the audition, I had never acted in front of a camera before, and it was scary.

However, I pretended that I was super confident and had done that a thousand times.

They are looking for someone who follows instructions and that they can mold like clay into a character.

So don't be worried if you don't be scared if you don't have the best technics, just show that you care and that you are confident that this is what you love to do.

And that's it!

I hope these tips helped you!

I wish you the best of luck if you are auditioning soon and just remember to have fun!

If you liked this post like, share, subscribe, and comment on what was your last audition, I would love to know!

Bye!
